Horizontal, Vertical, or Square
Wide panoramic formats that create visual calm and balance across long wall spaces.
Tall portrait formats that draw the eye upward and create height in compact spaces.
Balanced, symmetrical formats. The most versatile shape — works above a console, in a grid, or solo.
How to Choose the Right Size
The 2/3 Rule
Your art should be approximately two-thirds the width of the furniture below it. A 72" sofa pairs with art around 48" wide. A 60" dining buffet calls for 40" art.
Eye-Level Center
Hang the center point 57–60" from the floor. Gallery standard. In dining rooms, lower by 2–3" for seated eye level.
When in Doubt, Go Bigger
The most common mistake is art that's too small. A piece that feels "just right" in a store will feel tiny on a real wall. Size up.

About Wall Art Sizing
Choosing the right size wall art is about proportion, not preference. A piece that fills a wall with presence — without overwhelming the furniture below — creates the visual balance that makes a room feel intentionally designed rather than casually decorated.
Our most popular size tier is large wall art (40–60"), which accounts for over 60% of orders. It's the sweet spot for above-sofa placement in standard living rooms. For open-plan spaces, double-height foyers, and commercial lobbies, oversized wall art (60"+) delivers the scale needed to command attention. Mini and medium sizes work best in groups, pairs, or accent positions.
What size art for above a sofa?
For a standard 72–84" sofa, choose art between 48–60" wide. The piece should be roughly two-thirds the sofa width. Center it above the sofa with 6–8 inches of space between the top of the sofa and the bottom of the frame.
What size art for above a bed?
Queen bed (60"): 40–50" wide. King bed (76"): 50–60" wide. Center the art above the headboard. A single horizontal piece or a set of two verticals both work well.
